Philosophy

Teaching Approach

Fostering musical expression, healthy mechanics, and artistic confidence.

Eva cultivates an encouraging, student-centered studio where aspiring cellists feel empowered to develop both technical mastery and their distinct artistic voice. Recognizing that no single pedagogical method suits every learner, she tailors instruction to each student’s strengths, instincts, and musical goals. Her curriculum balances foundational technical work in tone production, intonation, and healthy body mechanics with expressive interpretation, guiding students to become confident, versatile musicians who take genuine joy in their craft.

Informed by her doctoral studies at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and extensive collaborations with world-class artists, Eva brings an expansive and inclusive perspective to the studio. She pairs the cornerstone classical cello repertoire with overlooked works and underrepresented composers, broadening her students’ cultural horizons and inspiring thoughtful, curious musicianship.
